Directing involves a great deal of time and attention. To be a director, one must not only see the "big picture" but they must also be detail-oriented and thorough - from the outline stage all the way through the Final Mix. I personally enjoy overseeing every little detail right up until the audience sees the completed episode.  Here are just a few of the episodes I've had the pleasure to direct and a quick description of the challenges that were overcome in it's making:

Jellystone!
"The Town Video" - Anime sequence

I wrote this outline as a love letter to filmmaking and anime´ and it was wonderful to make it come to life! The best part was finding the amazing talent to make this happen - storyboard artist Raj Bruggemann, the anime character designer Alan Lau, as well as the authentic anime voice actors Gaku Space and Yoshi Amao! Music by the amazingly talented Ego Plum!

New Looney Tunes
"When Marvin Comes Martian In "

Our show was in need of new stories, and I was privileged to have been able to write the outline which became the first appearance of Marvin the Martian in our Looney Tunes Universe. By being involved in the writing stage, I was able to keep the locations and characters to a minimum - saving our design teams a lot of time and manpower and getting the show completed on time and under budget. Storyboard by Mike Ruocco.

New Looney Tunes
"Wahder Wahder Everywhere"

When this episode was first pitched, it starred Bugs Bunny. Our executive in charge felt it was more of a Daffy Duck episode. With that in mind, the storyboard artist Pez Hoffman and I  managed to re-write and re-storyboard the entire episode in a week and submit the final storyboard on time, keeping the schedule intact.  Storyboard by David "Pez" Hoffman.

Bunnicula
" Beware Apartment 13! "

I wrote this episode of "Bunnicula" after being inspired by a funny impersonation one of the storyboard artists (Karl Hadrika)  did of their college professor. Working closely with the board artist we managed to bring this character to life and make a fun, unforgettable episode. Storyboard by Karl Hadrika.
